Creative Moments DT Challenge - The East Wind Digi Stamps

Hello folks,  it is that time again! Time flies doesn't it!  This week I have used a digi stamp from The East Wind company,  a cute little fairy caressing a dove and making it feel better. I coloured her with Graph it markers and found this lovely background paper in my crafty stash (which is from Polkadoodles Dolly Daydream goes East CD rom). I matted it onto black cardstock and added a sentiment. So pretty I think. I hope you like it. See you next time.

A Christening Card

Hello, I thought I would share this card I made for a customer for her niece's Christening Day.
I had the lovely image from www.liliofthevalley.col.uk  and sprayed it with Spray and Sparkle from www.crafterscompanion.co.uk then mounted it on silver mirri card.  I chose some lovely papers from the new DoCrafts collection and matted the image on one of the papers on to silver mirri card also.
I then embossed the card front using an A4 Embossing folder from Spellbinders and then die cut a border and stamped and die cut the flowers and flourishes from www.heartfeltcreations.com
I then printed out a sentiment and then die cut it. I added pearls to the sentiment and the center of the flowers.  The card opened like a backward easel, if that makes sense.

Ummm....

Anyway, back to business!  Today's challenge was Numbers.  I used the Double Sprinkles CD Rom (available from www.polkadoodles.co.uk) by first printing out the little girl in digi stamp form and coloured her using Graph'it markers.  I then printed out the No. 9 from the CD Rom in A4 size and a backing paper.  I cut the image down and made a 8 x 8" card using white cardstock.  I matted the backing paper onto black cardstock. I then cut her out and sat her on the flower pot, added buttons for the centres of the flowers a tag, ribbon and butterflies to finish it off.  I will send this card to my Step-Granddaughter this year.

It's Digi Choosday once again!  How time flies!  This week's challenge is Paper Piecing.
I chose to use the Pretty Sweet CD Rom available at www.polkadoodles.co.uk.  I picked Maddie in digi form and coloured her with my Graph'it Pens.  I then printed two backing papers from the CD and then reprinted the images on the top of the papers.  It makes it easier to cut out.  Then cut out the dress from the two different papers.  I then used the leftovers for the backing papers matted on cream and then onto a Kraft cardstock card.  I cut a scalloped oval cut a piece of lace and then 3D Maddie over the top.  Added a ticket sentiment which I also coloured with my pens.  How pretty this is.

No Measuring Pop Up Card

How pretty is this Pop Up Card?  I sat at my desk this morning and decided to make one of these.  Nikky Hall of Polkadoodles demonstrated this on Create & Craft this week.  Her No Measuring Pop Up Box Card!  If you would like to see how to make one of these cards, she has put it on Youtube.
I made the Pop Up Box Card then decorated it.  I used papers from Close to My Heart with bees on it, edged the flaps with a daisy punch.  Then I stamped and punched out the flowers and butterflies, die cut some florals and put it altogether.  I used a ticket sentiment and added it to the front.  There it is.

Flower Pot Card - Using Stampin Up Stamps and Punches

Oh I love this card - I have just made one for my Polkadoodles DT Challenge using their products. So I decided to use the Stampin Up Stamps and Punches that has made this card.  I love Black and White cards also. So to me this has turned out pefect.  I have made this as a Thank you card for a dear friend that is helping me at the moment.  I cut out the flowerpot using my template  and instructions that I saw on Youtube - flowerpot card.  I stamped out all the flowers and butterflies and then punched them out.  I punched out a daisy border using a Martha Stewart punch to keep the flowerpot together and added a flower and butterfly.  I then die cut a flower border and cut it in half.  I then cut a piece of white card and matted it onto black cardstock, added a Thank you sentiment at the bottom. Adhered the die cut flowery border to the side of the cards added the three flowers and then on the frongs of the flowery twine I adhered the butterflies using pinflair silicone glue, added some more butterflies to complete the flowerpot!  Love it!

Polkadoodles Challenge - Spring is in the Air

My card today hasn't any characters as I decided to do this lovely little flower pot card made from plain cardstock and papers from the Sugar Plum Daisy CD Rom (available from www.polkadoodles.co.uk).  I cut out a template for the card and matted one of the papers on the front. I then cut out a border to go around the flower put to keep it together, I then added a tag and bow.  I then cut out some cream card and matted it on the brown cardstock for the flower tag.  I stamped Happy Mother's Day at the bottom and then added my punched out flowers from the two background papers, added little buttons for the centres. I also die cut a flowery twine and cut it in half and put it at the back of the flowers.  I really love how this has turned out.

Digi Choosday - Animals

So for today's Digi Choosday challenge its Animals.  So I went through all my Polkadoodles CD Rom to find some cute animals.  I chose the Sugar Plum Daisy CD Rom, this is a lovely CD rom, cute images, lovely backing papers and scenes.  I first found the background I liked, then some bees, then some hedgehogs and finally picked the little girl. I printed them all off separately. I made a stepper card and matted the background and border onto some black cardstock.  I then cut out the images and popped the bees on some acetate, so they look like they are flying, put 3D foam pads onto to her and the hedgies to give the card some dimension.  Printed a sheet of sentiments off the CD also and chose one of them and matted it onto black cardstock also.  What a cute card x

Creative Moments - Steampunk Sally

Wow did I have fun doing this Challenge for Creative Moments.  This fab digi image is from Delicious Doodles.  Her name is Steampunk Sally.  I have never made a steampunk card, I have all the stamps, embossing folders, dies to make the cards but never had!  So this is my first.  She was great to colour, I decided to see what she looked like in vivid colours first, then once I had finished her I went and did sepia tones.  I really don't know which one I like best!  I will let you decide.  She was coloured with Graph'it markers and I used various embossing folders on plain cardstock and then shussed them up with Metallic Pan Pastels. Please let me know what you think!

Digi Choosday Challenge - One for the ladies

Hello there!  For my Digi Choosday Challenge this week it is "One for the Ladies".  I chose this digi image from the Candy Doodles CD Rom (available from www.polkadoodles.co.uk)  and coloured her in using my promarkers.  The colours are more subtle than the Graph'it markers, but I think she turned out good.  I cut the image out using a Spellbinders (Splendid Circles) die. I then chose a backing paper from the CD Rom and matted it onto black cardstock.  I cut a ribbon strip with the black cardstock also. Adhered it to the card, used 3D sticky dots on the topper to give it some dimension. Cut out two of the butterflies from the remainder of the backing papers and adhered them to the ribbon strip using Pinflair glue.  Well that is it for today, I hope you like the card. See you next week x

This card was made especially for my Step-Granddaughter Mikayla for her 12th Birthday. I printed an image from the Dollie Daydream goes East CD rom. Available from www.polkadoodles.co.uk.
I then coloured her with my Graph'it markers and cut and matted the image.  I used the papers and alphabet from the CD rom and took them into my Craft Artist programme to make the background.
I then die cut some cherry blossom and branches and then printed a scroll sentiment.  I love how this card has turned out.
