Happy New Year - Digi Choosday Challenge

Happy New Year Everyone.  I hope you had a lovely Christmas. I had a wonderful time spending time with all my children in the UK.  There was lots of fun and laughter throughout the week.
Drove back from the UK yesterday to Germany experiencing awful weather on the way, but made it safe and sound.  Today, I'm chilling and catching up on my Design Team Challenges I have this week.  So this is my Digi Choosday - Happy New Year challenge.  This is one of Emma Canning's December digi images available from www.polkadoodles.co.uk.  I printed her out and coloured her with my NEW Graph'it marker pens I received from my daughter Katie for Christmas! They are lush!
I then cut her out added a little glitter and matted her on to some backing papers I had in my crafty stash and added a sentiment using my ticket punch from Stampin Up. There is my card. Voila!

A Gift for You - Polkadoodles Challenge

Our challenge this week is to make a gift.  So I thought it would be nice to make a box with Thank you cards in it.  I already had a template for this card box, I used two pieces of A4 cardstock for the box, drew around the template and cut it out and put the box together.  I then chose some backing papers and an image from The Angelberry CD Rom.  I matted and layered the Rudolf paper on red cardstock and covered the front, back and sides.  I then made 6 cards, same design but with different backing papers. I then used my peel off "thank you's" and matted and layered the Rudolf image.  There it is! What a nice gift to give someone!

Hi there, it's Flatfriends Challenge time! This month it is using the above colour combination.  At first I wasn't too sure, but I went through my crafty stash of cardstock and papers and found some that look quite good together.  The image I chose is one of Emma's first digi images and it is the first time I have used it.  I coloured here with my Graph'it marker pens and cut her out.  I then made a Union Jack background out of my bits and bobs scraps.  I added a sentiment and here she is. My first piece of Artwork.

Well, this is my first piece of Artwork! I saw this being demonstrated at a Craft Extravaganza in Wiesbaden, Germany a couple of weeks ago, and I was enthralled! I thought I could do that and I have got all the stuff she is using! So I went home and found a mount out of a picture frame and decided to embellish that! First of all, I got some corrigated card and ripped it into pieces, got my husbands gauze bandage and stuck that on, then I went into my crafty stash drawers, which I have many, and out came the flowers, leaves, heart, wooden butterfly from an old magazine and set to work. I stuck it all on randomly, (which I found quite difficult), washed it over with Gezzo and let dry overnight. Then I got out my cosmic shimmer sprays and blasted it all over, let it dry, blasted it again! Then I got out my pan pastels which just finished it off for me. Printed out a photo of me and my hubby at our Summer Ball and stuck it in the middle. Voila!! So pleased with the finish. What do you think?

Noel, Noel - Polkadoodles Challenge

Hi there once again.  It is Polkadoodle's Challenge time.  This week it is a card to be inspired by a Christmas Carol.  I chose this lovely image from the Here Comes Christmas CD Rom available from www.polkadoodles.co.uk  of carol singers. I chose two papers from the CD Rom also and cut out a scalloped circle using my Spellbinders die. I matted it onto the other typography paper and then onto burnished silver card stock. I cut out a some music notes and added the first line of the carol at the bottom as a sentiment.  That is it! I love how this has turned out, don't you?

Polkadoodles Challenge - Christmas Tag

Oh I loved this challenge - A Christmas Tag! Well mine isn't a small tag by any means!  It is 5x7" size!  I took some papers and embellishments from Home for Christmas CD Rom available from www.polkadoodles.co.uk  in to my Craft Artist 2 programme and made the background to the tag. Then printed out another Santa and embellishments and decoupaged them. I found a couple of wooden keys in a Home Décor store here in Germany in the bargain bin, so I took one and covered it with flitter flakes and added Santa's Magic Key.  I attached it to the tag with ribbon. I also took a sentiment from the CD rom and cut it out using a Spellbinders die, distressed the edges using pan pastels. Cute eh?

Polkadoodles Challenge - Anything but a card

This weeks challenge - has been great fun as I have been making all kinds of gifts for a Craft Fair that we are having on base.  I was fortunate to find some wooden trays in a cheap store which I thought I could alter.  So, I painted the tray white then used papers, embellishments and digi images from the Home for Christmas CD Rom  to decorate the tray.  It is an ideal size for a Cookie Tray to leave out for Santa on Christmas Eve....

Creative Moments Challenge - Rainbow Bright

Hi once again,  when I was choosing my October images for Creative Moments, I was excited when I saw this image from Sassy Studio.  I just had to have this one as my daughter Amy (who is nearly 30) loved Rainbow Bright when she was little and had a Rainbow Bright Themed Bedroom! and I knitted her a jumper with her on it and when she had grown out of it, she was crushed when she saw I was trying to sell it at a Car Boot!  So this is for you Amy, I made this for you!  I coloured her with my Promarkers, cut her out and then thought it would be nice to make a rainbow out of all my rainbow coloured cardstock.  So here she is!

Creative Moments Challenge - Mr. Barn Owl

Hello there, sorry I haven't been around for a couple of weeks, been very busy with work and crafting, making items for a local Craft Fair.  So I should have posted this last week on here as it was our Creative Moment's challenge.  This is a wonderful image from Delicious Doodles which I have coloured with Graph'it markers and then used pan pastels around the edge. Mounted him on a Spellbinder's die, added authentic leaves and then matted him onto an embossed bark effect cardstock and then used a darker pan pastel to bring out the grain of the wood. Matted that onto dark brown cardstock and then onto a Kraft card. I didn't add a sentiment as I didn't think it needed it.
